* These training sessions are ONLY for those gymnasts entered in the Champion of Champions competition.
On the 7th December the event will commence at 10:00am before warmup with team photographs. Followed by warm up and then march on of teams.
The Champion of Champions event is the last competition for 2024. It is our Christmas party holiday party and fun day all wrapped up in one event. Gymnast will perform one apparatus out of each other's discipline. in MG, WG, RG, TRP and FreeG.
The 2024 'Champion of Champions' is an annual event for our club. It celebrates all disciplines in our club. It gives everyone an appreciation of just how hard it is in each discipline. This competition has been going for 31 years. Some of our present gymnasts' parents can remember going in this event.
Our 'Supporters Group' will be providing a free BBQ lunch after the event.
This year all gymnasts entered will perfom on the following apparatus:
- MG - Men's Horizontal High Bar.
- RG - Hoop Junior, Clubs Senior.
- WG - Artistic Floor to music.
- TRP - Trampoline.
- FreeG - Timed teams event.
Gymnasts will have just over a week to master the events and then perform them on the 7th December.
After entries are received we will decide on teams by placing gymnasts so that each team has a mix of MG, WG, RG, TRP in each team.
There will also be a mix of Junior and Senior athletes in each team. This becomes important in the FreeG timed event where older, bigger gymnasts help the smaller gymnast get through the course. Timing begins when the first gymnast starts and stops when the last gymnast finishes.
Teams will be given names of their choosing following on from the theme of 'Holidays'. This could mean a Beach ideas or a Christmas ideas, Island ideas. Let your imagination run wild. Maybe a Martian Holiday?
At the end of competition a junior gymnast will be the Junior Champion and Senior Gymnast the senior champion. Then the highest of the tow divisional champions will be crowned the 2024 CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS.
